The "orange book" was sold and sold out at $25 (shipping included) last year. I wondered at the end of 2023 if that price might have been why they cancelled the promised second printing; did they realize that $25 was freaking nuts? It's peculiar compared to prior years. Honestly, isn't it still over-priced? What reason is there to charge anything more than $12 or so: materials and printing plus a standard overhead margin (maybe 20%)? The cost to generate the annual tables is near zero. The Nautical Almanac is derived from the JPL numerical integrations and other freely available datasets. My own apps, like many other apps from other authors, use the same data under the hood.
