Looking at the bubble light holder on my A10A I see a white ring, maybe lead, and what could be epoxy. There is no bulb and I have not really started exploring the device so I don't really have any idea beyond what I see. However, Bill Morris wrote a great book on reconditioning the A10. It is available at https://sextantbook.com/buy-the-book/ I have it but have not started fiddling with my A10A. I have, however, used his book on the A12 and it was a great help and kept me from completly screwing things up as would have been a certainty had I tried to figure it out on my own.
Really, his books are very well done and much easier than finding and picking through old manuals and patents.
