If you’ve got an A- 5 to play with, please will you engineer an example with the course less than 045 degrees.  lots more northings than eastings should do it.  I’d like to see a photograph of how the hairline ends up in the ‘warning’ sector.   Then please take a photo of the other side to show the equivalent chlat.  After that another photo of the course side with the equivalent chlat selected and the hairline over a course of less than 45 degrees.  I’m waiting for one of our mathematicians to come up with the formula for the calibration of the course scale. I’m still looking at AFPAM 11-216.  It appears to begin with tan course = opposite/ adjacent = eastings/northings, so it needs a bit of following through to see how it relates to the inputs and calibration of the A-5 course side.  Thanks, DaveP
