Actually, not a mistake. I was trying different examples and this is correct for staarting at 10 degrees and going to 20 degrees with a 40 degree difference in longitude.

Oops. I made a mistake. See two new photos. First one shows mid- latitude arrow of 15 degrees touching the 40 degree difference in longitude curve. The last shows the distance of 3383 nm.
