Example one.
Start 10 degrees latitude.
End 20 degrees latitude
Difference in longitude, 40 degrees
1st picture, set to 10 degrees of latitude differences.
2nd, midlatitude o 15 degrees arrow touching 40 degree difference in longitude, read out distance of 2390.
3rd, distance 2390 set against 10 degrees of latitude distance gives course of 75.5.
Per HO 229, distance is 2305 and great circle course of 70.7.
As expected, rumb line is slightly longer and closer to the equator.
