If you've been using radar or a chartplotter, you soon get the difference between "north up"
and "heading/course up". Both have their proponents for continuous use, me, I switch back and forth,
but always inform the rest of the watch.
And if the suns out, I am oriented, but in London, I often must use a compass, due to the overcast.
