Solving for the intersections of two circles of equal altitude by haversines runs the risk of creating a very ugly duck ;-) Not sure if I can help there. Andres or Lars might know how to do this.

I wonder if an all-haversine direct SR (from two altitudes) could be not too cumbersome?
