Brad,
You may be pleased to know that I didn’t sink last night, and didn’t have take all the stuff you suggested into my liferaft.
My point of course, was that if the sun’s declination is zero, which it was this morning here, and it is on the Prime Meridian, and you make good allowances for refraction, semi-diameter, and dip, as described, longitude will be GHA + 90°.
