    Your view-point is correct and quite well documented.

    Partially hidden Grus is flying from left to right with its "wings" down and its neck fully stretched, not flying upside down on this picture.

    It is a sky display which periodically can be seen low on the horizon from a significant part of Continental US.

    I happened to notice it a number of times when living in Florida years back.

    Now this initial query from Frank remains to be assessed : is Alnair visible or not on the picture ?

    As an additionnal clue I am forwarding this extract of the picture of Fuji San in the attachment. It is a "vertical extract" for better identification and localization within this overall picture.

    Anybody to notice anything ?
