K McGrath you wrote: I'm looking for an altitude ruler to go with my Decca astro plotter. It's 18 inches but calibrated 0 to 90. Just thought I'd see if anyone here knows a source before I make one. I know roughly how to use it but if anyone has any tips on using the plotter it would be appreciated. Nothing found on line.
I presume you’ve seen this https://paradeantiques.co.uk/militaria/equipment/c1965-admiralty-decca-navigation-co-astroplot-star-plotter . You might try The Navigation Training Unit at HMS Collingwood, Fareham, Hampshire, UK. where I believe there is a museum of RN Navigational Equipment. Googling ‘lookalikes’ gives mainly billiard queues. DaveP
