Interestingly enough, if you happen to go to Port Stanley in the Malvinas/Fakland, when walking alonside de main Road alongside the sea, you can see a display of Sun and planets at the right sizes and distance scales.
Amazing to get a feeling about the distances involved ...
Also : 28*28*28 = 21952 is rougly equal to (22*22*22)*2 = 21296 .This explains your predicament.
