The East Midlands Branch and the History of Air Navigation Special Interest Group of the Royal Institution of Navigation Presents
HANG North Thursday
This year’s HANG North, the Royal Institute of Navigation’s History of Air Navigation Group’s Northern Seminar, will be held at Newark Air Museum on Thursday 8th October 2015. We’ve tried to select a venue convenient to all. It’s just off the AI; it’s only an 85 minute train journey from Kings Cross; and it’s a £7.00 taxi ride from the railway station. Bus travel is also possible for the adventurous.
This year, we’ll be concentrating on the Origins of Long Range Flying in the RAF; the Aries Flights to the Polar Regions; and the Development of Inertial Navigation. The morning will be devoted to self exploration around the Air Museum, so there’s no strict arrival time; any time after
