A very good book on the subject is " Astronomy before the the telescope" edited by Christopher Walker. Btitish Museum Press dated 1996.
Many authors. Covers ancient Egypt, Mesaponitima, India, and Greece. Information from China, Africa, and the Americas.
I think it will cover what you are looking for.
