A very nice solution Robert!
You eliminate all distances and ends up with
cot(x) = sin(BDC)·sin(ACB)·csc(BCD)·csc(ADB)·csc(CAD) - cot(CAD)
After finding the angles, with logs I make it in 10 lines with only one subtraction log. Brilliant!
