0.00650 inches, about 6 one-thousandths of an inch.
((1.767 x 10^7 km x 2) / 3.472 x 10^14 km ) x 5280 feet per mile X 12 inches per foot = 0.00650 inches.

Peter,
Using your math skill can you give me a scale example of that size? That is, for example; "if Arcturus were 1 mile away it would appear to be 1/16" of an inch in diameter".
What do you think?
Thanks,
Sam
Arcturus is 36.7 light years (3.472 x 10^14 kilometers) from Earth and has a radius of 1.767 x 10^7 kilometers, which I work out to be a semidiameter of 0.013".
