Michael,
Use the blue and orange sun filter plex to reduce the green house fogging effect during the day. Keep filters off until just before observation. Another liquid to try is dish soap which is less messy than oil and shouldn't fog. If using glass then keep off until just before observation and turned 90 degrees to the sun until ready.
