Hello:
Just read about the auction of a very rare astrolabe at Sothebys London on March 31. This rare metal Astrolabe was made in Spain about 1336-1337. it is mostly intact and possibly was designed to indicate the direction of Mecca. So, if you are interested in bidding, more information is available at Sothebys.com. The work is expected to sell for $835K to $ 1.1 million.USD.
Good luck and best regards to all.
Bruce
