Well David, you claim you are putting this kit together in the even that your GPS will fail "soon enough". I put it to you that your mechanical watch will fail one way or another long before your GPS or your radio, so if I were you I would put a rated quartz watch in your kit as well. It will take up no room at all in your sextant box....
