Ive just aquired a rather nice box sextant. It appears to be identical to a Stanley from the early 20th century. Its stamped with what appears to be the makers logo HB the identification B1643 and a UK MOD arrow. Ive not been able to find any references to the manufacturer other than H-B who are an instrument maker. Presumably thse were made under licence for wartime use. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this. Picture attached.
