I have punted everything to a friend whose son knows Python. From reading thru the program it looks like it should be straightforward to change dot colors, line color, line weight and dot weight. Not having programed anything except Excel Macros since College FORTRAN I think I would make a giant hash of it.
We'll see if he can put a very small mark at the origins and add the tick marks at various arc-min intervals.
If anyone can think of refinements that would make reading or constructing easier let me know and maybe I can get them implemented.
