david: I made the error in calculating your ho. I use degrees and mins. however when I added(25).55' to 50'-2' I used 1 degree 03' instead of 103' coming up 40' short. but more importantly you and frank cleared up my hang up on using the the N.A. upper moon alt.corr. table because it includes ref. and s.d. Your alt corr uses 50' from alt 26 degrees on page 485 of the air alm. so 25.55' +50'-2' = 26.43' in the N.A.the upper table corr is 60.5'; U&L av ( hp 55.8) is 2.6' added then subtract the N.A. corr of 15' = 26.43.1 bingo ! as frank wrote the N.A. is very accurate and can be used for moon bubble shots. the final issue is do I use a few numbers from the N.A. or carry around 738 pages of the air almanac to use one number ? many thanks tom.k.
