For me the big shift in computing/internet was when I changed from 50kbps dialup to 256 kbps "always on" DSL. The difference was amazing. Six months ago I switched from 10mbps ADSL to 100m fibre and the difference was hardly noticable. To put my age in perspectice I can remember punching a deck of cards for an assignment. I did not notice someone slip into my deck a JCL card //>name of instructor> is silly. The instructor did!
I do enjoy having 64g thumb drives instead of the 360k five inch floppies. Somewhere I have a eight inch floppy.
