Thank you Bill. Yes she is a gem isnt she? I am so pleased that you have her and will do all the right things. You may know I made a replica some years ago and used that at sea with great success. I think I documented this on Navlist. My craftsman days are over, but I still have that. I cant really ask for payment for homemade modern copy, but it is amazing and just as accurate.

Do enjoy your gem. It is a unique work of art. The art deco majic has been ignored by everyone but me I think. Quite remarkable for an 1920s military instrument.

It was securely packed and, upon opening, I decided that it is such a gem that I will not touch it until I have bought new white cotton gloves. Then I will restrict my use to a few careful calculations and post a review in due course.
