Nice photos! And notice that these very fine C.Plath sextants are doing just fine without that "feature", the micrometer vernier scale. It's confusing for so many beginners and creates an illusion of greater accuracy. A simple pointer is all that's required. We can read to tenths of a minute (or tens of seconds on that earlier sextant) just by visual estimation --no problem.
