I found all your lore for easy star navigation really caught my imagination.  The things you have memorized, however, I have committed to paper.  My one-page substitute for the Nautical Almanac is attached.

You will observe that I am wanting to teach the use of a calculator here to people who have never done much with them.  But one could as easily cut all the examples from the bottom of the page, and have all he needs to navigate across oceans on a half-sheet of paper.  Wow...
