Clipper merchant vessels were from mid 1800’s on.
A schooner would have been an unlikely choice for an ocean-crossing merchant vessel.

While living in Massachusetts, I found some info regarding two brothers who built & sailed merchant ships from England c. 1760. Anyone have any info as to whether it was a schooner or a clipper? I know one was named, 'Two Brothers". I have done some research since then but no more information except our last name in a few countries. I am in the U.S.A..
