I think that is still a stopwatch lap time not a way to freeze clock time.
BTW I found my old post and I did make an arduino clock prototype. I also had a go with the bangle.js. I think this sensir watch is what I really want. Maybe in a 50m case.
If anyone has a really good word or phrase that only means freezing clock time I will call the project that. At least it would make it easy to search for.
BTW another option is a bluetooth pressbuttion, easily hacked to drop a waypoint on your chart plotter or opencpn along with the time. If not using GNSS then just reading the log maybe and logging time.
