I am thinking of attending the practice session even if I do not attend the couse. I have a few software problems and am seeking help.
I have installed zoom on my phone. (Android 7)
I cannot install zoom on my elderly Samsung tablet even thought it uses Android 4.4.2. THe zoom help centre says that Android 4.0x or later is required.
No problem I naively thought. I will use wifi or bluetooth to mirror my phone's screen on the tablet. I googled mirroring and two apps were recomended. One was not in the Play Store and the other was available for the phone but not the tablet. I then searched the Play Store. There were lots of apps but it was often confusing exactly what some did. Worse still the description contained the dreaded phrases "containd ads" and "in-store purchases".
I tried an app called Team Viewer. It used the cloud rather than wifi or bluetooth which made me nervous - eg Frank's course is presumably copyright. I could not get TeamViewr to work because the help information on my PC did not match what I saw on the phone.
In an era when bluetooth and wifi are used by devices to communicate surely it cannot be too difficult to display the screen of one device on another. Or is it?
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I have given up on venus - cloud is 8/8.
