In your first angle analysis of our Das Boot navigator, isn't he following the body down to the horizon? He didn't start with a pre-set angle.
Now, let me turn the Celestial Navigation in the Movies question around - has anyone seen a good one?
I have found this thread quite interesting and appreciate everyone's response to it.
