Some day I hope to do something similar at the Mariners' Museum (America’s National Maritime Museum) here in Newport News, Virginia. The last time my wife and I visited, they had a great exhibit featuring sextants, octants, log tables and almanacs ... but no one was around to explain how any of it worked.
