You are onto something. These kinds of thematic arrangements are hard to do and you have a nice entry. They are a challenge in composition, color, lighting and accuracy (items that could or actually were used together).
Such images are polular with web site authors who use them for browser banner pages. They are often used in web sites for antiques dealers, museums, period libraries, special collections, historic societies, theme parks and instrument collectors to name a few. Just look at the do-it-yourself web/blog authoring kits from WordPress (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WordPress). There are dozens of customizable premade pages for coders. At the moment, I don't see any nautical themes kits; perhaps you have an outlet for your work.
