I know you don't think much of the Martelli tables but I think it worthy to add to the 19th century navigation methods discussion as both a way to reduce longitude or a Sumner line. Robert Bernecky did a nice table V up-grade which I have copied and included in my 1934 edition (53 pages). See link to table.

The polar coordinate function on some pocket trig calculators would be a worthy option to combine with the law of cosines pocket trig calculator method for modern celestial sight reductions. See attached PDF
