Celestial Tools V5.6.9 is now available on the USPS Offshore Navigation Committee web site, and, for those of you who do not have access to the USPS web site, it is also available at www.starpath.com/downloads/CelestialTools.exe, courtesy of David Burch of the Starpath School of Navigation.
This update corrects some problem with the H.O. 249 and H.O. 229 sight reduction methods. Also, in response to a suggestion by Herman Dekker, the ability to include a zone description for a Favorite Places location has been added. This convenience enhancement is handy if the location's civil time zone does not conform to the standard 15º bands of longitude, or for those who prefer to work in Universal Time.
