Someone asked what the difference is between sextants and quintants. I answered that there is no hard and fast law on this (with some other details).
For fun, I decided to ask ChatGPT, "what is the difference between a sextant and a quintant?" It provided an amusing and largely wrong answer, which has come to be the standard expectation from this tool on most history. See the image of its reply below. I find ChatGPT genuinely useful in some contexts, but it's a remarkably poor encyclopedia!
