Ed, Great job - I know you put a lot of time and effert into the project.
David C. I used the US version of CONSOL in the early 1970's It was called Consolran (CONSOL range ? ) between the west coast of the USA and Hawaii. We had no INS then ( or GPS of course ) so relied on celnav and LORAN for overwater flights. the consolran unit would give a bering and you would listen for and count ticks or beeps. The number you heard indicated your position. Took the unit out of our airplane during the mid 1970,s Crude, but better than nothing on a cloudy day.
