In 1866 Mr Bartlett moved to a new shop. Not the reference to a timeball. Was it mounted on his old shop?
Note also that he has installed an asronomical clock in his new shop. What is "exact" mean time? Was it to the nearest minute or second? What time did Auckland keep in 1866?
Did he only rate chronometers that had been repaired?
The are more questions than answers.
