No one seems to have noticed it, but my statement about "two and a half pages for a similar range" (regarding quarter squares) was not correct. It should be five and a half pages as you need to have quarter squares for numbers up to 2000 in certain cases. Anyway, still less than Crelle's 450 pages.
For use in connection with the hav-Doniol method I would prefer a two page table of common 4-figure logs of numbers. On the other hand, using any auxiliary table greatly reduces the beauty of that method: only one simple table.
