Would such a night vision device work for seeing the horizon after sunset? As I understand it they amplify low levels of available visible and IR light. I have never looked through night vision equipment but my understanding was they are useful for relatively close objects? I searched for "night vision sextant" and this article from the 1940s recommends wearing red glasses for 30mins to enhance your night vision https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/j.2161-4296.1947.tb01111.x Bill On Thu, 22 Oct 2020 at 01:46, Bill Lockhartwrote: > > Ah!
