So, I finished. At least the version 1.0 :-D
Based on my experiences, I changed my design, it is more intuitive now, I do believe. The date scale has been moved on to the rotor while the time scale moved on the stator, and 12:00 is aligned with 0° LHA, this is more convenient arrangement for astronomers. And let calculating between LMT / UT / WT easier.
I put together a manual, how to build and setup, and all latitudes can be downloaded from my web page: DIY Starfinder.
Ed: thank you for your kind words, the program was written in plain old C using Cairo graphics library.
Tony: I am going to make a universal version too (just South and North), I have an idea how to build it, will let you know if available.
Best regards:
Tibor
