Now I see - to provide better usability at certain latitude you trim both the base and the overlay - to cover only the relevant stars more clearly. Smart idea!
I thought it should be a more "universal" star-finder with as little parts as practically possible - for the sake of convenience, as seen by a distressed mariner in difficulties (that's my angle in all this CN topic). But I'd be interested to print/create all the base+overlay pairs - out of curiosity.
