    I've been waiting for Gary LaPook to say something, but haven't seen a
    reply from him or anyone else. A number of years ago he posted this
    material on the Bygrave method:

    Instead of variable names y and Y, my Bygrave variant calls them W and
    X. Maybe it would have made more sense to name them X and Y so you could
    solve for X, Y, and Z in that order.
