We have a good working pelorus available at reasonable cost. My father used it for adjusting compasses during WWII in the South Pacific.

John,
Beautiful pelorus! Wish I could find one at a reasonable price. For those who cannot afford the usual price for these beauties, (me included), you can build one for virtually nothing using plans from Dennis Fisher's book, Latitude Hooks and Azimuth Rings, or if you have a Davis 111,use that , horizontally as per David Burch book. I've done that. Works a treat.
