Frank, thanks for the clarification. I was working some problems and using universal plotting sheets for plotting the solutions. When I learned the intercept method, the book taught that, for running fixes, the LOP is advanced graphically using the lat scale on the plotting sheets for the distance run. After taking Modern Celestial, I'm thinking that method is not correct and that you need to run the DDR calculations for two points on the LOP to properly transpose the line. Which is correct?
