We have a couple of lakes where we take our sights. The distances across to the opposite shore will vary depending upon the particular sight.
Our height of eye will range from 6’ to 15’ and the distance across to the opposite shore will range from 0.5 mile to 2.0 miles perhaps no more than three miles.
What would be a good formula to use (statutes miles and height in feet) in order to calculate a dip short value?
