It’s a coordinate system Jim, but not as we know it. The false lats are 10° lines from the centre and the false longs are 10° great circles from the false poles. The false poles are not the true poles or they would read NNNN or SSSS, but you all knew that. Google searches: transverse grid, global grids, world grids, tracker ball grids, ICBM grids have so far turned up little. DaveP
