The attached example may be what you were originally looking for (Doniol haversine time sight method). The long division requires care. Should work good with the Ottis King. See Lars post which shows a very concise arrangement of the formula.

I did not know about Rust, but had the old 19th century Bowditch.(just found a copy of Rust for £12. ) I'll try the Rust + Otis King idea. (works well for Doniol Hc calculation). the Fuller does the Cosine formula fine. Dave, good idea re yet another slide rule! Maybe one day!
