Douglas-Appleyard Arcless Sextant - Help

Hello all,
I am having no luck finding information on this sextant. Searching the UK patents there is no record of patent 13689/16, no record of any patent by Douglas or Appleyard, nor any patent for an arcless sextant.
I know Douglas was an inventor ( Douglas Protractor ) but does not seem to hold any patents. Same for Appleyard,
A patent the US is easy to find by number but not so easy in the UK. Any help would be nice.
