In the Air Training Corps we had a mixture of desk and thigh mounted types, so we moght well have had some Mk IIIH*s. It was nearly 60 years ago. It's very intesting what the * meant. It looks as if you've been polishing yours. It looks as underneath if the silver sheen which I remember for ours lies gilding metal. Dave
