I thought I’d better check the idea would work up to Hs=90° without the observer having to dig a hole to stand in, and it does (see below), but he might have to adopt a kneeling, head down position, so we’re back to the ants up the shorts situation again. It also means my new AH, shortly to be completed, is going to be obsolete before the varnish is dry. So far I’ve only been able to test the idea with a wall mirror at 30° on the floor under a strip light in the ceiling, so I’m certainly not using long parallel rays, but it seems to work. Dave
