Luc,
All that was done was to Google Earth Grand Canyon and use the mid point as the assumed position then run through August 2013 dates with the given UT until an intercept came close to the AP. Another LOP is needed for a fix. Sam crossed his Moon line with a Sun line from earlier in the day. I did not see the Sun data anywhere in the doc.

I used http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/vphase.html and your date appears to be a full moon, while in the video it seems to be waxing gibbous, a couple of days before a full moon (assuming those images are of the night of the observation of course). Luc
